The Raay Club
Privacy notice

What the Raay Club keeps about its members, why, who can see it, and how to make it go away. In plain words.
Who we are
Raay (raay.space) is run by BedFlow FZE LLC. You can write to us at hello@raay.space or call +971 58 157 7992.
What we keep about members
The club is for people aged 18 and over. When you join, we keep:
- your WhatsApp number, your name, and what you do (Business, Professional, Job or High-profile job);
- the business you joined through, when you joined from its card, and the day you joined;
- your country, worked out from the shop or link you joined with or your number, which you can change;
- the sentence you agreed to when you joined, and when you agreed to it;
- what you do in the club app: the screens you open, the offers and events you see, the events you mark as interesting, when you sign in and out, and when you last used it;
- the kind of device you use (iPhone, Android, computer or other), a random code your browser makes up so we can tell your devices apart, and whether you have added the app to your home screen;
- the messages we send to your club inbox, and when you last opened it;
- who invited you, if you joined with a member’s link, how many people joined with your own link, your points and any coupons we give you. Leaving the club deletes these, except a coupon a shop has already taken, which stays without your name as the record of what we owe the shop.
There is no password, so there is none to keep.
Why we keep it
- To run your membership: to sign you in, show you offers and events, and send you messages in your inbox.
- To tell a business how many members joined at its counter, and how many members saw its offers. As numbers, never as names.
- To see which parts of the app people use, so we can make it better.
- To keep the club safe: to notice when one number is used from many devices, and to pause a membership that is being misused.
Your WhatsApp number
We use your WhatsApp number only for important messages about your membership. Never for marketing. It is never given to the businesses in the club.
Who can see it
The people who run Raay. Businesses never see your name or your number: a business sees only how many members joined at its counter, and how many members have seen each of its offers. We do not sell what we keep.
Signing in with just a number
Signing in to the club takes only your phone number: no password, and no code sent to your phone. So anyone who knows your number can open your membership. They could see your name, what you do, where and when you joined, the events you marked and your inbox; and they could change your name or what you do, or leave the club in your name.
Please join with your own number only. If you think somebody else has used yours, write to us and we will pause the membership.
Stopping misuse
To stop people trying numbers one after another, we count attempts to join and sign in, per number and per internet address. Those counts are stored scrambled, never as the number or the address itself.
Tapping a card without joining
Tapping a Raay card at a business, or leaving a review through it, does not make you a member and does not record you as a person. Taps are counted without names or numbers: the business learns how many taps it had, not who made them. Your phone keeps its own note of the businesses it has tapped at, so a business can be told a tap was a repeat visit; that note stays on your phone.
A private note you write to a business from its card goes to that business with no name or number attached, unless you type them into it. If you open the join form and do not join, we count that against the random code your browser made, not against you.
On your phone
Signing in leaves a cookie that keeps you signed in for up to 400 days, or until you sign out. The app also keeps its random device code, and a few small settings such as whether you closed the install card, in your browser.
Where it is kept
On Google’s Firebase servers, which may be outside the UAE. The website runs on Vercel, which also counts page views for us: it is sent the address of the page you opened, never your name or your number.
How long we keep it
Until you leave. Leaving deletes your membership: your number, your name, what you do, where you joined, the sentence you agreed to, your activity in the app, the events you marked and the messages sent only to you. What stays are counts with nothing in them that points to you, such as how many members saw an offer.
Your choices
- Change your name, or what you do, under Profile in the club app.
- Leave the club at any time: in the app, open Profile and press Leave the club. It happens at once.
- Or email hello@raay.space and we will delete your membership for you.
- To change your number, leave the club and join again with the new one.
